Start with the basics
Install Abitessa like any Orbital theme: Install a theme on Shopify. It works with your normal products and photos straight away. The extras below are optional, and each one hides itself, or falls back to your normal product photos and recommendations, when its data is empty. So you can fill them in product by product.
Product metafields
Abitessa reads product metafields in the abitessa namespace:
cutout: a photo of the item on a transparent background. Used by the Look Composer and the Fitting Room.fabric, fit, modelandmetal: product details. The Fabric metafield is also what the Fabric Bar filters by.care: care symbol codes, such aswash-30ordry-flat.pairs: products to show in Complete the look.looks: the looks this product appears in.
In your Shopify admin, add them under Settings → Custom data → Products, then fill them in on each product page.
Size tables and looks (metaobjects)
Two features use metaobjects, which you add under Settings → Custom data → Metaobjects:
abitessa_size_tablepowers The Tape (the size finder). Fields: category, measurement, unit, and rows such asM: 92-98. Until you add a size table, the theme editor shows an example.abitessa_lookpowers the Look Index. Fields: title, number, image, products and pins.
Filters
Collection filters come from Shopify's free Search & Discovery app. Add Availability, Price, Size, Colour and Product type there. For the Fabric Bar links, also add a filter for the Fabric metafield.
