Move your licence to a new store or domain

When you need this

A key is active on one domain at a time. You need a reset when:

• your Shopify store was activated on its .myshopify.com address and you've now connected your own domain,
• you're changing your site's domain,
• you're moving the theme to a different store or host.

If the new domain hasn't been freed up, the theme shows the notice on the new site, because the key is still active on the old one.

How to move it

1. Go to Account → Licences and press Move to another store next to the key. (Or email support@theorbital.shop with your order number.)
2. Tell us the new domain.
3. We reset the activation and email you when it's done.
4. Open the new site in a browser. The same key activates on the new domain.

You don't need a new key, and there's nothing to reinstall.

Good to know

• After a reset, a browser that recently saw the notice can keep showing it for a few hours. A private window checks fresh.
• Moving is for one site at a time. Running the theme on two live stores at once needs a second purchase.
• Staging sub-domains of your activated domain, like staging.yourshop.com, never need a move. See Test stores, previews and staging sites.
