Licence

What you can do with an Orbital theme you buy.

Last updated: [DATE OF PUBLICATION]

1. One purchase, one site

Each purchase gives you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the theme on one store or website, on the one platform you selected at checkout (for example, Shopify). Using the theme on another site, or on another platform, needs another purchase.

2. Licence key and activation

Every purchase comes with a licence key. You activate it inside the theme settings with your site’s domain. The theme checks the key with our licence server. A key can be active on one domain at a time; you can request a reset from your account (for example, when moving to a new domain). Unactivated copies show a notice banner and are not eligible for updates or support.

3. What you may do

  • Install, customise and modify the theme for your licensed site.
  • Use it for your own site or build one site for a single client (the licence then belongs to that client).
  • Keep using the version you have forever, even after support ends.

4. What you may not do

  • Resell, redistribute, share, sublicense or give away the theme or its files, modified or not.
  • Use one licence on more than one site, or share your licence key.
  • Remove or bypass the licence check, or offer the theme as part of a theme marketplace or template kit.

5. Updates and support

Updates are free for the lifetime of the theme for activated licences. Support is included for 3 months from the purchase date; your account shows the end date. Support covers help with theme features and fixing bugs; it does not cover custom development or third-party apps and plugins.

6. Third-party content

Demo images, fonts and icons may have their own licences; any that are not included in the ZIP are listed in the theme documentation.

7. Ending the licence

We may revoke a licence if these terms are broken, for example when a theme is redistributed or a payment is reversed by chargeback.
